SUSTAINABILTY PROGRAMS AND FINANCIAL INDEPENDANCE PLANS

BBT is working hard to balance the Funding Method of all the ministry activities because almost 80% is all donated funds and only 20% is locally accumulated. This imbalance has created desire of creativity and hard work among the BBT Team to put more effort on BBT Sustainability projects. We hope this will change when our very big Pineapple harvest from our BBT Kingdom Farm intensify. It could raise our local accumulated funds to 30%. The Kingdom Farm is one of our Self-Sustainability projects geared at creating locally generated funding.

We believe that Uganda can be "a food basket" to other nations. God has blessed Uganda with a very good climate that is favorable for food commodities that can be grown and exported to other countries and mostly the hunger stricken nations fo the world. BBT has food growing projects which food is grown at a large scale.

BBT Wheel Chair Projects.
Uganda has big number of people who have physical dis-ability due to Polio. Most of these people have never owned a Wheel Chair in their entire lives. So movinHg is quite a problem to them where by they have to be carried in wooden wheel barrows or bicycles which are dangerous to them since they can fall off. Here we were in Western Uganda where we distributed more than 100 wheel chairs to the physically handicapped people.

BBT Sewing Machines projects
Under the Women of Siginficance Ministy in the BBT, after training various women groups in different development initiatives, one of the start-ups we give them is sewing machines. The main aim is to make these women self-reliant and able to look after their children because most of the women we work with are widows or single mothers.

Northern Uganda

GULU is found in North Uganda. Northern Uganda has been affected by War for over 20(twenty) years by War from an internal uprising by the Lord's Resistance Army of Joseph Kony.

The majority of the children in Northern Uganda have been made orphans and homeless. Most of them became homeless because their parents died in the two-decade long internal war by Joseph Kony of the Lord's Resistance Army.

BBT does not only work with kids in Northern Uganda but also with widows, child mothers, and former child soldiers who were rescued from the rebels by the Government of Uganda Forces.

On the other hand, a Vocational School was set up in Gulu town to provide trade skills in Tailoring, Beauty and Hair Styling, and Welding among others.
