Thank
you all for loving BBT and for supporting our vision.
Friends, April 2005, Alex Mitala is marking 31 years in ministry
and BBT is marking 25 years in service. At the same time,
Alex and Catherine are marking 23 years of marriage.
BBT
now has 42 powerful men and women of God, willingly and joyfully
sharing their gifts, abilities and creativity with thousands
fo suffering communities in Uganda, with a vision of bringing
hope and freedom by the preaching of the gospel and by loving
them practically.
BBT's
main challenge now is Discipleship. Losing those who have
believed in Jesus to the occult is a real threat. In an
effort to ensure proper discipleship practices, BBT trained
over 2,000 church leaders thorough discipleship seminars around
the country in 2004. Such seminars for 100 church leaders
for 4 days, cost about $4,000. We welcome you to come
with a team and join us in teaching these eager leaders.
BBT
was able to train 160 pastors in the Fishers of Men Bible School
in 2004, which brings the total to over 600 since the school's
conception in 1991. The impact of these honorable leaders
has been great in Uganda, as the Kingdom of God has advanced.
Many of their congregations are growing stronger and are investing
more in the Kingdom.
This
year, we were honored to receive several visiting groups:

The World Help team, led by Vernon Brewer, helped us
with building materials to construct the second story of the
Good Samaritan Orphanage Dorm. They also helped to extend
water and power to the Good Samaritan Centre. They bought
us a small tractor to help with our farming, and they helped
in many other useful ways. Mostly, they loved our vulnerable
children.

Advancing Native Missions, conducted a very
successful Pastor Training seminar for 200 pastors. This
was a great encouragement.

Gary Rhodes, from Oklahoma, came with a team
that helped us to build the women's wing on the Bible School.
They taught us new farming skills, repaired one of our tractors
and worked on our silos.

Ken Madden, from Phoenix, came with a team
to train our men to be real men of importance in all areas of
life. The results of his teaching are real and great among
the men who were taught.
