Mrs. Catherine Mitala is Alex Mitala's wife and is the founder and president of Women of Significant ministry; a Non-Denomination Women department of BBT.

Vision: Empower Church Women by building their capacity to study the Holy Bible.

Mission: Teach Women who will teach others who will in turn usher many women into the Lord's service.

Curriculum: We study all the Bibilical Women from Eve of Genesis to Jezebel of Revelation

The Curriculum is divided into 22 sections of different topics. It takes 9 months, (8hours per week) of group study to complete this course. Certificates are awarded at completion.

Target Group: Pastors' and Church Leaders' wives, Women Church Workers, Women Church Ministers, Women Counselors, School Matrons, Female School Teachers, plus any other women leaders' groups.

Progress: Women of Significance Discipleship School has so far trained 1,028 women leaders in Uganda alone since 2004. In 2004, Catherine was the only teacher of a 24 women class members. Today, Women of Significance Ministry has 70 classes having 170 Voluntary Teachers in 45 Districts of Uganda. Our goal is to reach 2000 women by 2010.

Testimonies: The training has strengthened the working relationship of women and their husbands in terms of the ministry. It has contributed alot to child development in christian families. This training has also helped women leaders to discover their God given talents and gifts.

Prayer Needs: Please pray that the Lord provides us with a 4wheel drive truck to enable us reach out to the bush areas where the majority of women live. Pray for us to have wisdom in doing this precious work of empowering women. Also pray with us to get stationary and women development literature to help us in our ministry.
